How to Use Cloth Nursing Pads

One of the best things about breastfeeding is that you don’t need much in the way of supplies since your body is already equipped to feed your baby. One item that every nursing mother does need, however, is a stash of nursing pads.

Things You'll Need:

• Cloth nursing pads
• Mesh lingerie bag
• Small basket

1. Purchase a small number of cloth nursing pads from several different brands. Place two inside your bra to prevent any leakage.

2. Place the nursing pads in the mesh lingerie bag and wash according to the manufacturers’ instructions. You may want to keep the packaging so you remember which brands you purchased.

3. Store the nursing pads in a small basket on your dresser and place a few in a drawer in your nightstand for easy nighttime access.

4. Try each brand of nursing pad to see what you like best. Comfort, fit and absorbency will all be factors in choosing your favorites.

5. Purchase enough nursing pads in your favorite brands to last you at least a week.

6. Place used nursing pads in the mesh lingerie bag then add them to your laundry each week.
