Bipolar is a chemical imbalance for which no one is to blame. The problem with bipolar is that it is very often undiagnosed. Bipolar is a form of depression but just addressing the depression will not treat the bipolar.

  • The ability to know when something is not right within yourself.
  • Persistance to get to the root of the problem.

    Buying things that you do not need? Is your spending getting your family into trouble or out of control?

  2. Step 2

    Racing thoughts and irritability are common symptoms of bipolar disorder. Are you shouting at people, starting arguments, or unable to slow down your mind from over thinking?

  3. Step 3

    Sleeping less? A common sign of bipolar disorder is lack of sleep but not feeling tired or worn out.

  4. Step 4

    Talking too fast or suddenly becoming much more talkative is another common sign of bipolar. Being hyper and full of energy is another sign.

Tips & Warnings
  • Bipolar displays itself as extreme highs followed with extreme lows.
  • Weeks or months could fall between episodes.
  • People with bipolar disorder can live full lives with the right treatment.
  • If you feel like you may have some of these symptoms then do not settle for a diagnosis of depression. Have your doctor make a correct diagnosis and treat it.
