You can turn your love of animals into a compassionate act by sponsoring a wild animal through adoption. Many animal sanctuaries and organizations have programs in which you can directly contribute to the welfare of an animal. You make a one-time donation and then receive photos of your animal with letters detailing their progress.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If you love primates, contact Chimp Haven in Louisiana (see Resources below) to learn how to sponsor a chimpanzee. Monkey World in the UK has over a dozen varieties of primates that you can help sponsor through an adoption. You will get a photo, free passes and an annual magazine among in exchange for your generosity. Visit the adoption link through their site (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Sponsor almost any wild animal you can name by contacting the World Wildlife Fund (see Resources below). In return for your sponsorship, you'll receive a few neat gift items, such as a toy stuffed animal.

  3. Step 3

You can adopt a farm animal at Farm Sanctuary. Visit the site to get the details and see a copy of the adoption certificate.
