Things You'll Need:
- A funny joke
-
Step 1
Tell your joke. The joke should be one that gets a laugh, or at least one that you find amusing. Do what you have to do to wring a laugh from that joke. Be merciless in your telling of the joke. Make a funny face, do a silly voice, slap that joke around--do whatever it takes to squeeze every laugh you can out of that miserable little joke.
-
Step 2
Tell your joke again, changing it slightly so that on the surface it appears to be a new joke. Even the slightest pressure applied to that pathetic joke of a joke, however, will force it to reveal that it is, in fact, really the same joke in new clothes.
-
Step 3
Keep on the lookout for another opportunity to bring your joke up again in an ever-so-slightly altered manner, perhaps after a little time has passed and your audience has been lulled into a false sense of security, and then--bam!--that joke’s back!
-
Step 4
Wait until your audience has forgiven you for the previous appearances of your joke--or at least make sure you have a quick escape route available if necessary. Tell your joke again, that stinking, no good joke that long ago overstayed its welcome! At least it can still make you laugh!

Step 5
Realize that you get where this article is going and that there is nothing more to learn here.
