Yummy Chili-Style Delicacy

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 kilo Flat Noodles
  • 1/4 kilo monggo sprout
  • 1 whole cabbage
  • 3 bulbs onion
  • 4 tofu
  • 8 beef or pork siomai
  • olive oil
  • soy sauce
  • sugar
  • salt
  • chili sauce
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • frying pan
  • chopstick
  • INGREDIENTS OF SIOMAI
  • 1 cup chopped shrimps
  • 1/4 cup ground pork
  • 1 cup chopped singkamas
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 onion, finely chopped,
  • 1egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pack siomai wrapper
  • oil for brushing
  1. Step 1

    INSTRUCTIONS IN MAKING SIOMAI

    In a bowl, combine all ingredients except siomai wrapper and oil. Blend well.

  2. Step 2

    Separate wrappers then put 2 tablespoons of the filling into each wrapper. Form into bonnet-like shapes.

  3. Step 3

    Transfer to a lightly greased steamer then brush tops with oil.

  4. Step 4

    Steam for about 30 minutes or until done. OPTIONAL. (Serve with a dipping sauce).

  5. Step 5

    INSTRUCTIONS IN MAKING CHILI NOODLES CON SIOMAI Mix 1 tbsp of sugar and 2 tbsp of rock salt with 6 cups of water. Add 1/2 kilo of flat noodles and let it boil for 3 to 5 minutes. Then strain it out and let it cool.

  6. Step 6

    Wash cabbage and monggo sprout with water then cut cabbage into small pieces. Cut 3 bulbs of onion into small pieces too.

  7. Step 7

    Cook tofu with olive oil till golden brown. Then cut into small square piece.

  8. Step 8

    Mix flat noodles with monggo sprout then fry it with only 1-2 tbsp of olive oil enough to oil the frying pan.

  9. Step 9

    After a few seconds remove it in the frying pan and place it in a bowl. Then add cabbage, tofu and beef or pork siomai on top.

  10. Step 10

    Add 4 tbsp of chili sauce, 3tbsp of soysauce, 2 tbsp of peanut sauce and 3 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce. Then toss it until well mix.

Tips & Warnings
  • Serve with chopsticks
  • Best with ice cold juice drinks.
  • Don't over fry the noodles
