How to Do a Simple 3 Minute Workout

For those who don’t have the time or the desire to get a full workout, there is still a few things you can do to stay in better shape. Doing a 3 minute workout may not build huge muscles or burn tons of calories, but it's better than not working out at all. Read on to learn how to do it. Try it to see if you like it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Get into something comfortable and hook up the iPod. Pick out a solid 3 minute tune that will get you going and motivated. The music is all important because it is the only way to keep the unmotivated going during a workout.
Step2
Stretch out for as long as you need and then crank up the iPod. I recommend connecting it to speakers so that you don’t have to worry about it falling off of you while you're working out. Pick up two dumbbells of a decent amount of weight--whatever you can handle comfortably. Don’t overdue it and hurt yourself.
Step3
Hit play and start to jog in place. Work your arms with the weights while you are jogging in place. Switch it up between curls and other motions to maximize your time. I find jogging briskly in place while brining your knees high helps get your heart going while the weights get the muscles burning.
Step4
A 3 minute workout will not cure any major health problems, but it can be a first step in the right direction. Eat right and be active as often as possible. Do some weight work along with the cardio to really get in shape.
