Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Appreciation for all that your body does for you
Step1
If you are healthy, appreciate all of the things that your body does to keep you feeling good. Instead of starving yourself by over-dieting, cherish the fact that you are healthy and have a good appetite. Nourish your body with the foods and vitamins it needs to keep your immune system at optimum levels.
Step2
Instead of obsessing about the outside of your body, focus on the fact that your mind is quick and sharp. Remember all of the things that you have been able to accomplish due to your mind, like graduating college or writing a book.
Step3
Think about people you know who have died. Most would be thrilled to have one more day in their bodies, no matter what they looked like.
Step4
Appreciate your body by using all of your senses on a daily basis. Delight in the smell of the air after it rains and feel the burn in your muscles after climbing stairs or savor your favorite meal. Use all 10,000 of your taste buds.
Step5
Don't wait until you have a ominous medical diagnosis to enjoy your body. Give thanks for your healthy body right now. Focus on how your legs get you to where you need to go, not how they have a few dimples of cellulite on them. Think of your body as your friend. Give thanks for all that it does for you.
