Things You'll Need:
- Music Mix CD (popular music played at basketball games)
- Cable TV
- Snacks
- Drinks
-
Step 1
Send an Evite to friends for your March Madness Party!
-
Step 2
Tell them to wear the shirts of their favorite teams and go overboard. They should paint their faces and chests (guys) in team colors (if they're willing) and arrive at the party in team colors. Let guests know beforehand that the most spirited fan, based on attire and face paint, will win a grand prize. The grand prize should be something gender-neutral, such as a gift certificate to a nice restaurant.
-
Step 3
On the day of the event, play your music mix CD. The CD should have music on it that is played at basketball games like "Hey Ya," "Let's Get it Started," and "Rock Lobster."
-
Step 4
When you start your most spirited fan contest, use this CD. Have participants sit in chairs lined up side by side. Then, call each one by their team's name. They should get up as if they are the starting line-up players being called from the bleachers. The participants should be showing their spirit, while other guests should be cheering.
-
Step 5
Plan this event during a rivalry game, like Duke vs. UNC. This will increase the intensity of the event.

on 2/27/2009 I had an "infamous" SuperBowl party this year! I'm going to try to out-do myself with a March Madness party in a few weeks. I used JOONERS.com to coordinate all my friends to bring things like chips, beer, team decor, prizes, music, etc. So Easy! Go HOOS!!!!!

on 3/24/2008 Add in a few more party activities like:
- In light of March Madness fill a jar with M&M's and have guests try and guess how many are in the jar. Winner takes all (of the M&M's that is)
- Make your own March Madness trivia for guests to fill out pre-game. Include questions like; "who will dunk first" "which team will have the craziest fans" "which team will win" "what will the point spread be", etc.
