How to Make a Mini Paper Wedding Album

  1. Step 1

Start by cutting 12 pieces of 5 1/2-by-7 1/2 inch and 2 5 1/4-by-7 1/4 inch pieces of the white cardstock. These will create the cover and the pages of your mini paper wedding album.

  2. Step 2

Then, with one of the 5 1/2-by-7 1/2 inch pieces, measure 2 inches in from the 5 1/2-inch end. Then, measure 1 1/2 inches in from the 7 1/2-inch side. Cut a 2 1/2-inch square in the center of the paper. When done, there will be 1 1/2 inches on both the top and bottom, 2 inches on the right side and 3 inches on the left side of the square.

  3. Step 3

With the same piece of paper, wrap one of the mulberry papers around the white paper. Make sure that the 3-inch side of the square is on the right side. That way, you will apply the mulberry paper to the correct side of the cover. Tape the edges of the mulberry paper down so that the mulberry paper is flat on the white sheet.

  4. Step 4

Once the mulberry has been taped, with the paper trimmer, cut 2 lines from corner to corner in the window of the cover. Then, fold the flaps to the back side and tape them down on the same side as the other mulberry paper.

  5. Step 5

Next, with one of the 5 1/4-by-7 1/4 inch pieces, tape to the back side of the window cover. The front cover is finished. It can be set aside.

  6. Step 6

With one of the 5 1/2-by-7 1/2 pieces, the other mulberry paper and the last 5 1/4-by-7 1/4 piece, repeat the same process as the window cover. This time don't cut the square into the paper. The back cover will be completely solid.

  7. Step 7

Crease the left side of the front cover, the 3-inch side. The crease needs to be in 1 inch from the edge. Then, crease in the other cover and the pages 1 inch. You don’t need to fold the pages at this time. Once the mini wedding album is complete, you can go and open the album to fold the pages. Doing this will make them more uniformed.

  8. Step 8

On the white sheet of paper on the back cover, you need to draw a guide for where to punch the holes. Measure 1/4 inch and 3/4 inch in from the edge of the cover at one corner and place a mark at both places. Repeat this measuring and marking on the other end. Draw a line through each mark, from one end to the other. Along both lines, measure in 1/2 inch from the end and mark every 1/2 in. along the line. Then draw a line through both marks to form 9 squares. Punch a hole on every corner of these squares. There will be 20 holes punched.

  9. Step 9

Hold one of the remaining white pages next to the punched cover. Punch all the holes into the page. Repeat until all pages have been punched.

  10. Step 10

When the holes have been completely punched, assemble the covers and pages together. Start from the back cover, run the ribbon through one of the bottom holes and then from the front go in the hole diagonal to the first one. Continue crossing the same way till you reach the top. Then go straight across and then continue crossing diagonally back down. When you go through the last hole, tie the ribbon and cut it off. Your mini paper wedding album is ready to have the pictures added.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add a sheet of vellum between the pages to create a soft look over the pictures.
