How to Entertain Yourself During Long Airport Layovers

  1. Step 1

Rent a DVD Player. Several airports have shops that rent DVD players and DVD's to passengers.

  2. Step 2

Bring a book from home that you haven't had time to read or buy a book from the airport.

  3. Step 3

Grab a magazine or two from the airport's newsstand.

  4. Step 4

Bring your laptop and a few entertaining computer games. Play them.

  5. Step 5

Head to a sports bar in the airport, watch a game and chat with fellow passengers. Listings will be on posts throughout the airport's terminals that list the restaurants in the airport.

  6. Step 6

    Browse through boutiques.

  7. Step 7

Call someone you haven't made time to call.

  8. Step 8

Grab a note pad from a souvenir shop. Write down five things you want to accomplish within a week.
