In the mood for apple pie without all the work? Want a warm, delicious dessert that's low calorie and actually good for you? Try this quick easy dessert that will remind you of a yummy apple pie.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Apple
  • Knife
  • Bowl
  • 2 Graham Crackers
  • Cinnamon
  • Brown Sugar (optional)
  • Crushed Walnuts (optional)
  1. Step 1

Skin and core the apple. This is the most time-consuming part, but it's worth it! Cut the apple into chunks and cut off the skin, placing the chunks in a bowl.

  2. Step 2

Sprinkle cinnamon on top of the apple chunks to taste (a couple teaspoons should be good).

  3. Step 3

Heat in the microwave for 5 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Remove from microwave and crumble the graham crackers on top of the apples. Sprinkle a little more cinnamon, and if desired, a teaspoon of brown sugar and some walnuts.

  5. Step 5

Heat entire bowl for 1 minute.

Tips & Warnings
  • Calories (without sugar and walnuts): 200 calories!!
  • Calories (with sugar & 1/8 cup of walnuts): 315 calories!
  • This is great when you are craving apple pie or apple crisp, but don't have the time. It "bakes" in just 6 minutes!
  • Be careful when cutting with the knife.
  • The apple will be very warm when removed from the microwave. Allow time to cool before eating.
