Step1
I will start this out not to scare you but to be honest and say that nothing wroth wile in life comes easy. But what if I told you at the same time that it doesn't have to be all hard. I will omit some of the obvious things that you should know like not smoking or doing any type of illegal drugs because if your doing this it will be almost impossible to look and feel better not to mention its not good for your mind as well. The most important matter that I feel is relevant to becoming a better you is your diet. At some point in time preferably now you need to stop avoiding one of the main issues effecting your body and mind and realize that unhealthy eating can be just as bad as smoking cigarettes and can leave you with less energy and stamina for your mind and body. Just the basics try to get around 2000 calories for an average person, incorporate more vegetables and fruits and try to cut down on fatty meats and of course junk foods. By eating these you can cover up the real you with excess weight and higher blood pressure which tends to age us faster. The outside is sometimes a guide to what going on in the inside of our bodies. I don't recommend crash diets because these can be unhealthy to us and deprive us of nutrients our bodies need to be healthy so it is best to ease into a healthier diet and stick with it. Its can be a lifestyle change but a good one. For tips on how to eat healthy go to the American Dietetics Association website its a great tool to learn how eat correctly and help your mind think clearly. Vitamins in food are great and needed for the brain to function at full capacity.

Secondly but not any less important is to plan to workout at least 3 times a week if not more for around 30 minutes a day. What works best for me is working out a specific muscle group each day and then the next day a cardio workout which is great for the heart and skin because you sweat and helps you regenerate your skin. If working out scares your it shouldn't because you don't have to dedicate a large amount of time and it helps to do something fun and active like taking a walk or playing basketball, which makes exorcize fun.
Step3
Get your sleep!!! This cannot be stressed enough if your a nighttime person this could be stopping you from feeling the energy you need in order to think about eating correctly or excersizing. People who do not get the reccomeded 6-8 hours of sleep per day perform at a lower rate in school, work, and probably every aspect of life. If you have a hard time sleeping at night try reading a book or just letting go of life stresses a couple hours before you go to sleep and start a new in the morning. If you follow these steps you will start feeling better and having more confidence to continue, the hardest part is starting so get up, eat right, workout, and sleep right and you'll start to look and feel right.
