While significantly less expensive to produce than printed books, eBooks have yet to be fully embraced by most people. Thus, publishing just an e-book could limit your audience. On the other side of the spectrum, though, doing so could also make you more attractive to those on the cutting edge of new publishing technology. Read on to learn more.

  1. Step 1

    First, make the decision that this is definitely the way you want to go. Measure out the pros and cons related specifically to your project. Think about your goals as well as your target audience. Do they seem like the type likely to read eBooks?

  2. Step 2

    Convert your manuscript to an Adobe eBook. Make sure it is completely ready. Plan your marketing.

  3. Step 3

    Target certain media outlets, but specifically focus on book blogs and other online magazines. You can even participate in blog "tours" done exclusively online.

  4. Step 4

    Set up a website to sell your e-book. Make your eBook password protected, if possible. If you are not web-savvy, you may need to hire someone to do this. Accept PayPal. Make your eBook as accessible as possible.
