Rate: (2 Ratings)

This is about what I obtained after doing an internet search on heirloom tomatoes and from growing experience. I hope that it meets the needs of the reader well.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • money or credit card
  • online purchasing ability or the ability to transfer knowledge to everday buying experience
  • gardening tools
  • a place to plant the tomatoes
Step1
Determine what climate the tomatoes are going to be grown in and use that information to buy an appropriate variety for your area.
Step2
Determine the type of soil the tomato plant will be grown in and use that information as well to choose an appropriate plant.
Step3
Go to http://www.southernexposure.com/productlist/RTOM.html or http://www.heirloomtomatoes.net/varieties and purchase the proper VFN resistant variety or use the knowledge learned to buy some plants near you. (From looking at the site the variety that is VFN resistant will have the letters "VFN" after its name).
Step4
Plant in your selected location and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • An internet search can be performed to extract further information.
  • If there is a shop that specializes in garden plants, they may have an on-staff person who can help locate such plants.
  • Always be careful when ordering online.
