How to Create a Call of Duty 4 Xbox Live Clan Match
While getting into a good clan may be a challenge in and of itself, having exclusive matches both within and with your clan can be immensely rewarding and well worth the time it takes to get things going. If you're interested in playing Call of Duty 4 with an exclusive group of friends, here is what you need to do.

1
Do your homework. Ask around with any friends you have on Live and see if anyone is already part of a good clan or knows of one. If you find a clan you think you'd be interested in joining, look them up. Even smaller clans have message boards that you can participate in and learn what the clan is currently looking for. Ask not what the clan can do for you, but ask what you can do for the clan! If you're unsure of where to find a clan, check out www.charlieoscardelta.com. You'll need to register for the forums, but it's free.

2
Join a clan. Before you can start a clan match, you need a clan! If you've done your homework, you should have one that meets your needs picked out. You may need to do some practicing to get into the clan, particularly if you're new to the game, but you'll want to practice anyway. Once you get in to the clan, become active in clan events so that you can get to know as many people in the clan as you can.

3
Schedule some practices before you schedule a match. Once you've made some friends in your clan, decide on a type of match and level set that you can all agree on. Once you've got that figured out, play it a few times with random opponents so you can get used to working as a team. This may take very little time or a very long time depending on the group and the people in it. The most important thing to remember here is patience. If you jump right into a match without practicing team tactics, you're almost guaranteed to get wasted. Take some time and prepare yourself; you'll be glad you did.
-
4
Schedule a match when you're ready. If you feel your clan team has gotten some good practice in and is ready for a match, schedule a day and time when you will all be on Live to play together.
-
5
Create your match. Go to Multiplayer, Private Match and customize your own match. You can make it just for your clan, or for others as well, if your clan has some allies out there. Most of all: remember, it's just a game. If you're not having fun, take a break, go outside and come back when you feel better.
