Step 1
Only recruit those players that are 3 stars or better. It is a waste of time to go lower as it isn’t too difficult to get at least a 3-star recruit to commit to your school.
-
Step 2
Only recruit those players who have an interest level of 50 percent or higher. Otherwise, the chances of him playing at your school are minimal.
-
Step 3
It’s also important to check how interested the player is in other schools. If it’s close between your school and other colleges, then you don’t need to worry. If there is a large gap, though, you may want to consider recruiting another player.
-
Step 4
Before you begin actually recruiting a player, have the coach with the highest scouting ability either watch game tape or make a trip to see the player perform live. Whichever you decide is dependent upon the options given to you by the game.
-
Step 5
After this, have the coach with the highest recruiting ability visit the player at his home. This will increase the interest the player has in attending your school. You are allowed three home visits during the recruiting process.
-
Step 6
Once you can no longer visit the player, have the coach with the highest recruiting ability call him weekly. This will keep his interest high in your school.
-
Step 7
It’s also important that you email the player. You can send one player up to 5 emails a week. Have that same coach be the one to send the emails. You’ll find that these 5 emails will usually increase the player’s interest in your school by 1 percent.
