How to Adopt Quickly

This is how to adopt a child quicker than in the United States. It is based on the experience of one of my relatives and others.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • money
  • ability to travel to another country
  • No history of abuse or well-known criminal behavior

Step1
Try adopting a child from South America. My older aunt and uncle adopted three children this way. They had to have money and ability to negotiate the adoption.
Step2
Try adopting a child from Russia. The airfare may be more expensive, but it is likely quicker to adopt a child from that country.
Step3
Try adopting a child from Africa. A great deal of people have adopted children quickly from Africa, especially Hollywood stars and other people.
Step4
Try any other poor country that is safe to travel in. A great deal of them might be willing to help an American adopt a child quickly.
Step5
Also, children with health issues or birth defects might be an easier adoption--likewise older children. Try adopting one of these children.

Tips & Warnings

  • The more wealthy a household is, the easier it is to adopt.
  • Also, good adoption services check the background of the person adopting children and if it will be a stable environment.
  • Do not adopt children for any other reason than to love, care for them, and take care of them properly.

on 4/10/2008 To deal with a language barrier, some people find success in repeatedly introducing objects and telling the child the proper names for each until they understand it.
It also possible to find someone who can speak both languages to tutor the child, but that might be costly as I don't hear of a lot of African/English translators around.
I also had a program called 101 languages of the world that had some African languages on it that might have a useful translation program to help understand the African to English process.
I can see if there are online translators as I know of ones that do Greek to English and other languages.

on 4/10/2008 I believe that a good deal of other countries have adoption agencies/orphanages/missions. I know that Russia had a proper one when I caught the information on the local news. I would have to try an internet search for the proper names.
