Do you ever find strong smells in your home and wish that you could find a quick and simple fix for them? Try some of these simple solutions for everyday household odors.
The last time that you cooked fish or cabbage, did you find yourself wanting to rid your home of the smell that they leave behind? Try this next time you make a pungent meal: fill a small bowl with white vinegar and set it on the stove while you are cooking. You will notice the smell is much less likely to linger.
Step2
Going to the freezer with a hungry stomach and being forced to face a strong musty odor from the freezer can make anyone lose their appetite. Try this from now on to keep those smells at bay: fill a clean sock with fresh coffee grounds and place it inside the freezer.
Step3
Smelly trash cans stink! Implement this weekly routine to keep your trash cans smelling fresh: once a week wash each trash can out with hot, soapy water to remove any small pieces of debris that can hold in odors. Use a trash bag ALL the time! Then place a clean dryer sheet in the bottom of each trash can. This will absorb the smells from items you throw away throughout the week. Change the dryer sheet weekly.
Step4
Have you ever had guests on their way to your home when you notice that you pet has an offensive smell about them? You do not have time to bathe them but you do have time for this quick fix: sprinkle a light coat of baking soda over the pet's coat and then rub it in. Use a pet brush to brush it back out of the coat and the smell will go with it.
Step5
A stinky toilet can really make a clean bathroom smell. One quick way to fix the problem is to pour vinegar in the bowl of the toilet and let it sit for 5 to 10 minuets. Then use your toilet brush to scrub the toilet clean.
