Mother's Day is especially difficult for those of us who have lost their mothers. Every store front proudly displays mother's day decorations and sentiments. All the restaurants in town are packed with mothers celebrating.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Take time to do something special first thing in the morning that makes you feel closer to your mom. (Visit her grave, go to her favorite beach or park, go through old photos)
Step2
Make plans with your other motherless friends to have lunch together at someone's home where you wont be surrounded by everyone else's mother.
Step3
Go to the mall or to the movies. These places are sure to be empty. The stores will have good sales as well.
Step4
Go on a bike tour somewhere new and different with a tour group. Check out www.bikevermont.com for some great ideas.
