Step 1
Before pregnancy get your abs toned. You do not need a six pack but make sure you have strengthened and toned in preparation for pregnancy.

Do not gain more weight than is recommended by your Dr. Keep yourself in the best shape you can to reduce stretching your skin more than necessary.

Here is the secret!! While pregnant keep your abs tucked in as you go about your day. This is NOT like sucking in your stomach. It is more of a squeeze or clinching of just the muscles. Practice tightening your abs as you walk, sit and move about. This keeps up the tone while your stomach grows. This worked for me. They say stretch marks are hereditary. My mother and sister have terrible stretch marks. I practiced the above steps and I do not have ANY stretch marks!
