Planning a benefit for a political figure can be a very fun and rewarding event. It is hard work, but when things run smoothly, it can be extremely enjoyable. Here's how to throw a successful benefit for a political figure.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Decide what type of event you would like to have. Would you like to have a house party, concert or comedy show? Whatever it is, decide what you will be doing.
Step2
Once you have a solid action plan, contact the politician's office. Say who you are and what it is you want to do. They will then put you in contact with the appropriate person.
Step3
Once you reach the appropriate person, discuss your event idea and ask for a range of dates when your desired politician will be available. They will then send you some availability and you will settle on a date. Begin planning the event. Secure the venue and anything else necessary.
Step4
Promote the event as much as possible. Find like-minded groups that would be likely to want to attend and let them know about the event. Get the word out on the streets. Write a press release and send it to all local media.
