Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Create a game using poster board for the children to play that is similar to pin the tail on the donkey. You can call it pin the circuit on the robot or pin the button on the robot. Using the poster board, draw a large robot. Then, make the items the kids will pin on out of poster board. Put double sided tape on the back of each of the kids circuits or buttons. When it is time to play each child or an adult can write their names on their game piece.
Step2
Making a robot craft is another fun idea for a robot birthday party. Each can design their own robot and glue them to a piece of cardboard. Use old screws, nuts, bolts washers and other metal items for the robots. This would be similar to making a collage, because the robot will be on the piece of paper. The kids can name their robots and talk about what tasks their robots are made for.
Step3
Playing a robot related game is another great way to celebrate at a robot birthday party. Robot freeze dance is a fun and silly game that the kids will love. Have all the children dance in the center of the room like robots. When the music stops whoever is not frozen in a robot pose is out. The last child standing is the winning robot dancer.
Step4
Having a robot cake is a nice way to complete your robot birthday party. Many party stores and baking supply companies sell shaped cake pans. You can bake a cake in one of these cake pans or make one and shape it like a robot. The easiest way to shape a robot birthday cake on your own, is to start by making a sheet cake and a round cake. The head of the robot will be the round cake and the body the sheet cake. You can use Twinkies for the arms and legs of the robot. Ice the robot by coloring white icing gray with food coloring. Use candy to decorate the robot. Making the robot cake yourself is a great way to have your child be involved in their own party preparation.
