Having two babies the same age usually means they will be fighting and vying for Mommy' s attention all the time. With that said, this means, more likely than not your toddlers will be in time out a lot.

Since my twins began walking, which lead to then fighting, I have had to put them in time out, well, a lot. Here is how I put them in time out, AKA, playtime.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Toddler
  • Toddler Twins
  • A Corner or Two
  • A Chair or Two
  • 2 Minutes or Above, depending on your toddlers age

Time Out For Toddlers or Toddler Twins

  1. Step 1

When your toddler misbehaves by hitting, pushing, kicking, biting, or pulling hair; along with not obeying Mommy or Daddy, need to find out what time out is all about.

  2. Step 2

When my twins fight almost all day long and if I have to repeat myself more than three times, one or both of my twins find themselves in a separate corner for two minutes.

  3. Step 3

Twin B is in this separate corner, away from her sister whom she loves, yet fights with almost all day long. Twin B usually finds herself in a corner for two minutes because she will not listen or obey Mommy.

  4. Step 4

Twin A is in this separate corner, again, away from her sister whom she too love, yet fights with almost everyday. Twin A is not one to obey Mommy as much as her sister, but she will find herself in a corner, with no toys, for her constant fighting.

  5. Step 5

From viewing these photos, one would think my twins think time out is a game. Well, you would be right. When they continue to talk and get out of their seats, I eventually have to move one twin from the corner she is in and place her far away from her sister and begin time out all over again, for two minutes each.

  6. Step 6

Time out, oh what you have to look forward to. Have fun and remember, toddlers really never listen to you. They have a short attention span and all they want to do is play! That is why persistence is important. Toddlers want discipline and boundaries. It is up to Mommy or Daddy to set those boundaries so your toddler will feel safe and be able to trust you.

Tips & Warnings
