Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Find out if there are other sporting events in State College during a football weekend. Often, for example, there may be a volleyball match the night before a football game. If you bring your football ticket to the game you can get in for free.
Step2
Eat a meal at The Corner Room. The Corner Room isn’t necessarily the best restaurant in State College. It is just one of those historic Penn State places that must be visited. However, once you’re there, be sure to try a grilled sticky. Yum.
Step3
If possible, buy a student ticket to the football game. The Penn State student section may very well be the best in all of college football. There is nothing like watching the game with the Penn State students in Beaver Stadium.
Step4
Visit the Nittany Lion statue. Across the street from Rec Hall, the Lion is the symbol of Penn State.
Step5
Visit the students camping out in Paternoville the night before the game. These students will party throughout the night and they always welcome newcomers to the makeshift town that is born in front of the student gate before every football game.
Step6
Wake up early on Saturday and attend as many tailgates as possible. Penn State is famous for having some of the best tailgates in the entire nation. The food is great, the people are cordial and the atmosphere is one-of-a-kind.
