Many makeup foundations are advertised as though they can last all day. These products, however, may feel very heavy on your skin, and in fact any foundation can last all day if properly applied. Here's how to apply foundations that last all day long!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Facial cleanser
  • Facial toner
  • Facial moisturizer
  • Foundation primer
  • Foundation brush
  • Pressed powder
  1. Step 1

Start by cleansing your face with a cleanser of choice and water. Apply toner and moisturizer.

  2. Step 2

Apply a foundation primer. There are many brands in the market, but consider one that comes in the form of a gel. The gel will glide on smoother and will feel light compared to other foundation primers.

  3. Step 3

Apply your foundation. You can use your finger tips or a foundation brush. Avoid using a sponge, since all your makeup will end on the sponge and not on you.

  4. Step 4

Finish off with a pressed powder. Apply with a gentle patting motion. The patting action will press the foundation on to your skin for a longer lasting effect. The result will be a long-wearing, smooth, flexible and light feeling.

on 3/27/2009 For mineral make up it usually works best if you buy the primer specially made for that particular brand.
