How to Wear Bright Makeup Colors

Nothing perks up your mood like bright colors. If you don't believe it, there are even tons of studies proving this phenomenon. With spring around the corner, cosmetic companies are cashing in on this theory, promoting every color under the rainbow. 1. Remember that high voltage hues, when worn properly, can be fun and feminine.

2. Before applying a brightly colored product, decide which facial feature you'd like to accentuate, then make sure to play down the rest.

3. If you choose to highlight your eyes, swipe your lashes with one to two coats of black mascara. Then, swipe a bold blue or emerald green shadow across your lids, starting from the inner corner and working your way outward.

4. Choose a neutral blush and lip for this look.

5. Want some va-va-voom lips? Find a bright fuschia pink or coral red lipstick and slick up your smackers. Again, keep eye makeup at a minimum with just a touch of black mascara and hint of blush on your cheek apples.
