How to Decoupage a Chair

There are plenty of way to give new life to old furniture and decoupage is one of those ways. All you need is some cool paper and a few common tools to get you on your way. Read on to learn how to decoupage a chair.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Chair
  • Scissors
  • Foam brush
  • Mod Padge
  • Latex sealant
  • Decoupage paper, magazines, newspapers or fabric
  • Sandpaper
  1. Step 1

    Thoroughly clean the chair. If you are using a wooden chair, sand the area you will be decoupaging.

  2. Step 2

    Apply the decoupage paper, magazines, newspapers or fabric with Mod Padge.

  3. Step 3

    Once you have fully covered the space, allow the chair to dry for 24 hours.

  4. Step 4

    When the chair is dry, spray the decoupaged area with latex sealant. Allow to dry for two to three days.
