Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- A nice pen
- A personal journal
- A strong determination for self-improvement.
Step1
The first and most important step is to acknowledge that this is your life, no else is responsible for it but you.
Step2
Write down in your journal what you love about yourself, what you would like to improve and what action steps you would take to make that improvement. Remember that this is your journal. No one else has to read it so you are free to express yourself.
Step3
Remember that the reason why your parents took major stock in your life is to make sure that you don't have to experience the same mistakes and disappointments that they faced. By taking responsibility and action for yourself it will be easier for them to step back and let you have more control.

Oh, what great advice (and I'm not a parent). I just hate it when someone can't (won't) take responsibility for their own life. Wise advice. Good job!
