Guys always like a good wing man.

It is required in every man's life, to be a wing man at some point or at many points depending on your friends. Being a good wing man is a necessary skill, and much appreciated by your friends. Here are a few tips.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Friend who needs a wing man
  1. Step 1

The key to being a good wing man is knowing ahead of time that this your position, or at least figuring it out early. Once you have established your role, then you can begin to work.

  2. Step 2

Make sure the object that is being sought is clear. A mix up in goals can cause extreme havoc. Set your sights on one clear goal, and make it happen.

  3. Step 3

Make sure to make friends with the target, but most importantly make friends with her friend(s). Not only does this allow you to put in a good word for your buddy to the target, but the target is more apt to feel comfortable when her friend is having a good time too.

  4. Step 4

When the time is right, get your friend and the target to be alone. But, always make sure that you are close by in case things go wrong. You have to be close enough to see if there are any awkward pauses.

  5. Step 5

Make conversation for them if need be. Bring up interesting things about your friend in the form of a question. For example, "Oh I've been meaning to ask you, how's that teaching little kids program going down at the school?"

  6. Step 6

Always make sure the friends of the target can not only be occupied by you, but be working options for them to get home without the target. This is the tough part, because you may have to walk somebody home or even just "occupy" the person until the target is secure.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep it subtle, don't make it too obvious that you are wing manning, because it looks desperate.
