Complete the Campaign in Halo 3

Despite being famous for its multiplayer fun, Halo 3 has an excellent single-player campaign full of challenging levels, intelligent enemies and obstacles to be overcome. If you’re tired of getting waxed in multiplayer battles or are looking to experience the excellent story that comes along with Halo 3, load up the campaign mode and help save the galaxy!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Bring a friend. While the campaign can be completed solo, having a friend helps a lot, as it gives you a second life before you need to restart. If one of the two of you gets knocked out, the other simply needs to find some cover and stay safe for a few seconds to resurrect you. If you’re flying solo, one life is all you get before you get sent back to the last checkpoint.

  2. Step 2

Use those turrets! Gun emplacements can save your life if you’re low on ammo and are being swarmed by hordes of Covenant lackeys. Just remember that they run out of ammo too, and they don’t make you invincible. If you’re feeling dangerous, bring the turret with you and kick some Covenant butt on the go. Be aware that carrying a turret around puts you in third-person view, and makes you walk rather slowly, which can leave you open to ambush attacks.

  3. Step 3

Remember your extras. Items like jump pads, deployable shields and regenerators can and probably will be critical to your success, particularly so on the higher difficulty levels. If you’re fresh out of Halo 2, it can be easy to forget that these are available, so try and remember to use them. Don’t be shy about using them, they’ll appear throughout the game.

  4. Step 4

Beware the Brutes! These hulks can tear you up in a melee match, so try and stay as far away from them as possible. If you’ve got the sword or a shotgun, your odds are a bit better at close range, but if at all possible, take out Brutes from as far a distance as possible.

  5. Step 5

Grab a vehicle if you can. These won’t be available often, but if you see one, use it! They provide you with a little extra protection and some big firepower. What’s not to like about them?
