How to Make Christmas Cards With Tissue Paper

Tissue paper Christmas cards are fun and simple to make. Read on to learn how to make Christmas cards with tissue paper.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Exacto knife
  • Card stock
  • Colored tissue paper
  • Christmas tree pattern
  • Stick glue
  • Old magazine/cardboard
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Pen
  1. Step 1

    Choose the color of card stock and tissue paper that you want to use.

  2. Step 2

    Fold the card stock length ways.

  3. Step 3

    Trace your Christmas tree pattern onto card stock.

  4. Step 4

    Cut off portion of card stock that you don’t need and lay it aside.

  5. Step 5

    Open Christmas card and lay on old magazine or cardboard with the Christmas tree facing up.

  6. Step 6

    Usining exacto knife, carefully cut out Christmas tree and lay aside.

  7. Step 7

    Cut strips of different colored tissue paper.

  8. Step 8

    Put glue only on the ends of tissue and arrange diaginally until the empaty space is filled in.

  9. Step 9

    When your tree is complete write your greeting.

Tips & Warnings
  • The cut out tree that you put aside can be used to make another card. Use a regular hole punch to punch out colored balls. Glue them on, then use strips of ribbon for tensile.
  • You can use a plain tree pattern or one where the boughs are rounded.
