Instructions

Step 1

Choose the color of card stock and tissue paper that you want to use.
Step 2

Fold the card stock length ways.
Step 3

Trace your Christmas tree pattern onto card stock.
Step 4

Cut off portion of card stock that you don’t need and lay it aside.
Step 5

Open Christmas card and lay on old magazine or cardboard with the Christmas tree facing up.
Step 6

Usining exacto knife, carefully cut out Christmas tree and lay aside.
Step 7

Cut strips of different colored tissue paper.
Step 8

Put glue only on the ends of tissue and arrange diaginally until the empaty space is filled in.
Step 9

When your tree is complete write your greeting.

Tips & Warnings

The cut out tree that you put aside can be used to make another card. Use a regular hole punch to punch out colored balls. Glue them on, then use strips of ribbon for tensile.
You can use a plain tree pattern or one where the boughs are rounded.
