How to give a cat a bath

I just discovered a way to give my 10 year old cat a bath! My cat got out of the house and, of course, ran right through motor oil that was all over the the neighbor's driveway. I had to give her a bath but I know how cats can get! As soon as I turned on the faucet, she ran like a bat out of hell. She landed on top of an old window screen my husband had taken off that was in the mud-room. She clung to that screen so tightly, that I just carried it into the tub. It worked perfectly! She either couldn't or wouldn't move but her claws were so deeply into the screen that I was able to give her a bath and towel dried her. After that, her claws retracted and she hid under the bed, albeit clean as a whistle!
