Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bach flower remedy (optional)
  • Water
  1. Step 1

Avoid drinking more than one cup of coffee, as this will make you jittery and nervous.

  2. Step 2

Stay hydrated so that you body feels fluid and in proper order.

  3. Step 3

Add a few drops of a Bach flower remedy of your choice to your water. Herbal homeopathic products like Larch (to sooth lack of confidence) and Gorse (to sooth hopelessness and despair) will bring your brain to a calm place.

  4. Step 4

Concentrate on your breathing. Breathe in and out through your nose, maintaining long deep breaths.

  5. Step 5

Right before your audition sip your water, breathe and concentrate on an image of yourself leaving the audition room feeling wonderful about the job you just did. Breathe into this image.

  6. Step 6

Let a gentle smile form on your face. Smiling, even when you are feeling stressed out, relaxes your face and subtly changes your mood.

  7. Step 7

Begin to think of this audition as the funniest moment of your day. Expect that you are going to have a great time. Look forward to it and when they call your name, rejoice.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't be hard on yourself if you can't shake your fear. Breathing is the most important thing.
