Once you have imported your clips and assets into your Premiere Pro project, you must be able to navigate your sequence. You may need to zoom in or zoom out of your timeline to better view your clips. You can do that either with the Zoom Tool or with this short cut.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Zoom into a sequence in the Timeline panel by selecting the Zoom tool. Click or drag a marquee selection around the part of the sequence you want to see in more detail. You can also drag the zoom slider to the right, or click the "Zoom In" button. You also can drag the ends of the viewing area bar closer together.

  2. Step 2

To zoom out of a sequence in the Timeline panel, select the Zoom tool and hold the Alt key while clicking. You can also drag the zoom slider to the left, or click the "Zoom Out" button. As a third option, drag the ends of the viewing area bar farther apart.

  3. Step 3

You can also zoom into a clip by holding down the mouse button and pressing the plus key (+) to increase the zoom or press the minus key (–) to decrease the zoom.
