If you are working with multiple clips in an Adobe Premiere Pro project, or clips that have been captured before you worked with them, you may need to view the properties of those clips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If the clip has already been imported into your project, select it in the Project panel. This will allow you to display a subset of its properties in the preview area at the top of the panel. The information will be displayed next to a frame from that clip.

  2. Step 2

If your clip is already in the Source Monitor, the Timeline panel or the Project panel, click on the clip in one of those places. Select "Go to File," and then "Get Properties For." Click "Selection."

  3. Step 3

If the clip has not yet been imported into the project, go to "File," and then "Get Properties For." Select "File." Locate and select the clip you want to view the information for and click Open.

  4. Step 4

You can also look at the clip’s properties in the Source Monitor, the Timeline panel or the Project panel. Right-click on the clip and choose "Properties."
