How to Include Your Pet In Holiday Celebrations

A pet is as much a part of the family as anybody. Sometimes, during holiday celebrations, there's so much human family around that the pets might get left out of the fun. Here are few ways to include your pet.

1. Give your pets a stocking for Christmas, or at least include them when shopping for holiday gifts. Make a point of unwrapping the gift in front of the pet. It's a fun experience for the family to watch the pet receive the gift.

2. Instead of giving your pet leftovers after the meal, make them a plate of food and have them eat at the same time as you. That way the entire family is sitting down for a big holiday dinner.

3. Pets usually hate getting dressed up for the holidays, but if you are going to take them out, it's fun to give them a hat or something in the holiday colors.

4. Have the pet around more than usual. If the pet is usually outside during the day, or isn't allowed inside at all, bring them inside for a while. If the pet is an indoor pet, have them by your side for the day.
