Things You'll Need:
- Your measurements
- Some extra time
-
Step 1
Whether it’s under wire or not, the choice is yours. It should simply fit well. The best way to know if the bra fits right is to try a few on in the store. Don’t just buy and have to go return them or have them sit in your drawers. Take your time to see which looks best on you.
-
Step 2
Knowing what size you are doesn’t necessarily mean that is the right size in the particular brand or style you’re looking for. Bring a few sizes in the fitting room. A 36C, for instance, may be fit the same as a 34B so it is important to try them on.
-
Step 3
You don’t want a bulge over the cups. If there is not a smooth silhouette, the bra is too small and you will need the next cup size. Demi bras are best for a smaller chest. Be sure you find a bra with adequate coverage.
-
Step 4
Wear a fitted t-shirt or a button down blouse when you shop for a bra. Try the bra on first and your own top over it. That’s how you can really tell if it looks good. A minimizing bra can make your chest smaller by almost two inches. This lessens the chances that your buttons will pop open on your blouse.
-
Step 5
Check the fit by lifting your arms up. If the bottom of the bra rides up and you may need to try a smaller size.
