How to Use a Stipple Brush for Scrapbooking
A stipple brush is an artistic tool that can be used to create dimension, texture and other details. This brush typically has a wooden or plastic handle and a flared bottom. It is somewhat spread out at the tip with fine bristles. The stipple brush can be used to accent stamps, page backgrounds and other basic elements of the scrapbook layout.

1
Drop some re-inker into a plastic container; the re-inker is easier to work with than an ink pad because you can get some saturation on the brush.
-
2
Dip the stipple brush into the ink and wipe off the excess color onto a tissue or paper towel.
-
-
3
Create a dramatic background by brushing the stipple brush along your paper in long strokes, leaving a high saturation of ink. Use different colors for a bold appearance.
-
4
Dab the brush onto the paper in short, light brush strokes for a less intense background,

5
Bounce the brush on the paper for a background or to accentuate a stamped image and give a distressed look. Touch the brush down in tiny, light stokes to create little dots. Distressing with ink is typically done using neutral colors like brown, gray and black.
