Think Twiggy, Patti Boyd, Verushka and other fashion icons of 60’s. Remember their look that started a whole new trend in make up? It was a new look with a revolutionary style. The innocent and maybe not so innocent time where the look was dramatic and different.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dark eyeshadow
  • Heavy eyeliner
  • Fake lashes
  • Nude lipstick
  • Fake freckles
  1. Step 1

Start with your eyes. The look should be BIG and playful. Use the darkest eye shadow you can find. Apply heavily to the upper lid. Don’t bother using eye shadow on the lower lid. We’ll deal with that one later.

  2. Step 2

Next add your black liquid liner for a thick line across the upper lid close to the lash area. If you’re using a pencil, (the red kind with the black tip), make sure the color is blackest black and use a match to light the end for a smoother application.

  3. Step 3

It’s time to apply your fake lashes. A groovy pair with the longest lashes you can find will get you noticed a mile away.

  4. Step 4

Now, let’s get back to the lower lid. Hopefully, you have a steady hand for this. Take your black eye liner and draw about 6 short vertical lines going from the root of the lower lashes down to about one quarter of an inch.

  5. Step 5

Nude lips are an essential look of the Sixties. The idea is to draw all attention to the eyes. Any color used in the lips would defeat the purpose. The lighter the better. Look for the lightest shade of pale. (No pun intended.) Better yet, use concealer. Don’t go for gloss. The matte look is best here.

  6. Step 6

Last but not least, you need a few freckles. Use a brown pencil and dot a few freckles on each cheek.

Tips & Warnings
  • Listen to some British rock like (The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones or The Beatles)
  • Wear a mini skirt
  • Put on a pair of white patent leather go-go boots and you’re all set!
