Need a little help with your Direct Sales home parties? Meet your quotas or boost your sales with the ease and convenience of online parties!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • access to online chat room
  • products to sell
  • a little time and imagination
  1. Step 1

Find an online chat room. Use a search engine to find free chat rooms such as Internet Based Moms at http://www.internetbasedmoms.com/chat.html and schedule your party date.

  2. Step 2

    Invitations:
Make it short, make it snappy and make it simple for them to find you! Include information on: when, where (URL), time, products on special, any incentives for the party, what the theme is and how to get a hold of you for outside orders or questions.

  3. Step 3

    The night of the party:
Make sure you are familiar with the chat room well before the party so you may answer any questions about how to view the products. Enter the chat room at least 15 minutes before the party to greet anyone coming in early.

  4. Step 4

    During the party:
Greet your guests by name as the enter the chat room. Give your presentation short and refer them to your website often. If you have a hostess, detail the benefits of having an online party and how she is getting great items with their help. Keep your guests entertained by sprinkling the hour with fun games. Small prizes, free shipping or discounts make great incentives to stick around till the end of the party!

  5. Step 5

    Ordering:
Throughout the party, make sure your guests know how to order or the procedure to order after the party. Will ordering be via your company website, your website, during the party or email afterwards?

  6. Step 6

    Wrapping it up:
As the hour comes to a close, thank your guests, being sure to go over payment options, last minute specials and how to order again. Give them your contact information (email and website or phone) so they are able to reach you after the party.

  7. Step 7

    The next day:
Send a quick email to those who came to your party using your email invitation list, thanking them for coming. Repeat your specials, contact information and add something personal that you learned about them at the party. Do they have a birthday coming up? Anniversary? Remind them that you're there to help with upcoming gifts or products for any occasion.

Tips & Warnings
  • Sunday-Wednesdays are the best days for a party. Think of time zones when you schedule, will your west coast guests be able to attend at the same time as your east coast guests?
  • Everyone loves a party! Get your guests excited with a theme such as Auction, Bridal or Go Green. Include this information in your invitation.
