There are many popular websites and applications that rely on popup windows to work properly. You don’t have to allow popup windows for all sites to make them work, however. Follow these directions to allow popup windows in Internet Explorer for specific sites.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Select the Tools menu near the top of the window and click the Internet Options tab.

  2. Step 2

Select the Privacy tab and click the "Settings" button at the bottom, under the Pop-up Blocker heading.

  3. Step 3

In the field under the text “Address of website to allow,” enter the complete URL of one site that you use which requires popup windows. Click the "Add" button to add this to your official Allow List.

  4. Step 4

After adding all of the sites needed, close the Internet Options window.
