How to Decorate a Note Cube for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is an important holiday set aside to honor mothers and the love they show their children. Moms love homemade gifts. A decorated note cube would make the perfect gift for any mom. She can place it by the phone in the kitchen or in her bedroom and use it for phone messages, shopping lists and more. Read on to learn how to decorate a note cube for Mother's Day.

Things You'll Need

• Note cube
• Scrapbook paper
• Scrapbook embellishments such as stamps, stickers or ribbon
• Adhesive
• Pen

Instructions

1. Cut paper for the cover of the note cube. Trim enough paper to cover the front side and top of the cube.

2. Fold the paper where the front piece and top piece separates. Now decorate the top piece of the note cube cover with "Happy Mother's Day" and other embellishments.

3. If you want to then you can stamp the sides of the note cube to liven it up a bit. When doing so make sure you hold the papers together tightly while you stamp on your image.

4. Glue the note cube cover to the front and top of the note cube.

5. Tie a ribbon around the entire cube to hold it together and decorate a pen to match your note cube.

6. Place the cube in a gift bag with some potpourri or candy and give it to the special mother in your life.

Tips & Warnings

• Include a picture of yourself on the cover to make the gift extra special.

• Make sure the papers tear off easily; don't use too much glue on the front of the note cube cover.

• Use metal brads and paper flowers to add a little pizzaz to your note cube cover.
