How to Remember to Take Vitamins and Pills

Everyone should take vitamins on a regular basis, and many people have to take pills daily. Especially if it's a new thing for you, remembering to take the pills can be difficult.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Vitamins
  • Pills

Step1
Sort out what you need to take first and figure out exactly how often you have to take the vitamins and pills. Some are twice a day, and some need only to be taken a few times a week. Just because it's a vitamin doesn't mean it has to be taken everyday. Make sure you check every bottle and don't assume.
Step2
For your dailies, find a task that you do once a day and only once a day. Shower, breakfast, or whatever it is make sure it's done once a day, everyday. It has to be something you are already doing habitually. You don't want to create something just to do along with taking the pills. Take the daily pills when you do one of those things once a day.
Step3
Same goes for the pills that you take twice a day or three times a week. Find something in your daily or weekly routine that you do that many times. If it is already habitual, it will be easy to add a simple task to it like taking pills.
Step4
Write in large letters on the bottle when to take them. You can write ONCE A DAY, or THURSDAY MORNING. That way you don't have to look closely at the bottle if you forget, but also the large letters will remind you when you open the medicine cabinet.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you need to take several pills that are very important to your health, find someone who cares about you to keep tabs on your pill schedule.
  • Take it seriously when you have to take NEW pills. Some combos of pills can be lethal. Check with your doctor before you combine any pills.
