To do this, you need to disconnect your mapped network drives. These steps will show you how to disconnect from a mapped network drive.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer using Microsoft Windows with at least one mapped network drive
Step1
Click “Start” and then click “My Computer.” Alternatively, double click “My Computer” from your desktop.
Step2
Click “Tools” on the toolbar. The “Tools” menu will drop down.
Step3
Click “Disconnect Network Drive.”
Step4
Click on the drive you want to disconnect.
Step5
Click “OK.”
