The Bat Signal shows the Batman logo seen here.

Whenever Gotham City is under seige, Commissioner Gordon shines the bat signal into a cloudy sky to summon Batman's help. There is no way to duplicate Gordon's massive bat signal, but the Bat fan can make a small version with a simple flashlight.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the diameter of the lens on the flashlight.

    • 2

Find an image of the bat symbol online and save it to a graphics program.

    • 3

Size the bat symbol image so that it will fit across the lense of the flashlight.

    • 4

Print out the bat symbol and use it as a stencil to trace the image onto cardboard. Cut out the stencil.

    • 5

Tape the bat symbol across the lense of the flashlight. Turn off the lights and then shine the flashlight with the signal.

Tips & Warnings

  • To save time, you can cut out any sized bat symbol, prop it up with a picture clip and shine the flashlight against it.
