Things You'll Need:
- Crockpot
- Freezer storage containers
- Freezer bags
-
Step 1
Make Crockpot dishes. You can put lean meat, raw vegetables and water into a Crockpot, turn it on before you leave for work and come home to a delicious meal. You can cook meats and vegetables and also add pasta and sauce, or beans and meat for chili, or other combos. They all cook while you go about your day and you don't have to worry about it burning!
-
Step 2
Another idea is to make a little extra every time you do cook and freeze it for days when you just don't have time to cook. You can put the extra in freezer bags or freezer containers that can easily be warmed up in the microwave.
-
Step 3
Keep frozen vegetables and canned foods on hand for quick "dump" recipes. These consist of pasta, a vegetable, cream of chicken or celery soup and a canned meat like chicken or tuna. It takes five minutes to cook and you have a yummy dinner that is good for you.

Step 4
When I was little my mom would make "Mustgo Soup" which was made from the leftovers in our fridge. It was called that because everything must go! In a pot of water add leftover meat, vegetables, pasta or rice and seasonings. The secret ingredient was to add a bouillon cube or two to the soup. Match the type of bullion to the type of meat you use and it tastes like a professional-made soup!
