Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Internet Connection
- Uncontested Divorce
-
Step 1
Find out if your state will accept paperwork from an online divorce service.
-
Step 2
Both husband and wife should have an open discussion to determine if their divorce will be simple and uncontested. In particular, discuss child custody and financial issues. Agree on how to divide the property, child visitations, etc.
In my specific case, my ex and I were determined to remain friends mostly for the sake of our kids. -
Step 3
Visit the web sites of CompleteCase, LegalZoom, or any other online divorce service. Read through these sites to determine which one is right for both of you.
While these services offer fairly similar features, there are also a few service-specific extras. For example, CompleteCase will toss in freebie Last Will and Testament preparation, and LegalZoom offers toll-free customer support.

on 12/8/2008 Sandy, I'm telling you, once you are done you will breath a sigh of relief. Just the thought of not having to go to court is what did it for me. I hope all goes well for you, and be sure to keep me posted on your progress.

on 12/5/2008 Hello ariesprincess, I am so glad to see someone that has actually done the "divorce online" thing, I was a little leary about it. I'm filing for divorce from my husband and I didn't want to go through all the bs of having to go to court and all that other stuff, so I will check this link out and see what they can help me with in my state, thanks so much, will keep you posted on the end results.
