When you empty your Recycle Bin, you will get a message asking you to confirm that you are sure you want to permanently delete the items in your Recycle bin. If you want to disable this warning, the following steps will show you how to prevent delete confirmation messages from appearing every time you empty your Recycle Bin.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer using Microsoft Windows
  1. Step 1

    Right click the “Recycle Bin."

  2. Step 2

    Click “Properties." The “Recycle Bin Properties” dialog box will open.

  3. Step 3

    Uncheck the “Display Delete Confirmation Dialog” check box.

  4. Step 4

    Click “Apply” and “OK."

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have the “Do Not Move Files to the Recycle Bin” box checked, this setting will be unavailable.
