How to Create Healing Ginger Ale Tea

In an earlier article, I wrote to you on how to make Tropical tea. In that article, I expressed the techniques of brewing, straining, and integrating the tea with special ingredients, such as herbs, spices, and fruit. I also, mentioned the addition of fruit juice to add flair to the taste of the tropical tea. But, healing ginger ale tea is not a tropical mixer drink. This is made for the strict purpose of healing. In the Caribbean, ginger is the spice of life. It is used to clear the colon, cure stomach ailments, and spice up exotic drinks like beer, tea, and sorrel, according to Herbal Extract Plus at herbalextractplus.com. Things You'll Need:

  • The ingredients that you will need are: Earl Grey tea, ginger, one bottle of Seagram’s’ Ginger Ale, one lemon or lemon juice, sugar or honey.
  1. Step 1

    . CLEANING THE BREWING POT

    Cleaning the brewing pot is very important because if you don’t your tea will do more harm than good. This means that instead of healing you, your tea will actually make you sicker. Cleaning out your brew pot also helps you to maximize the amount of good quality tea that you can make. So if you do not have a tea maker, invest in a large brewing pot. Next, once your brew pot is clean, measure how much tea you plan to make. If you are only making one cup, then you don’t need to fill the pot with a lot of water. If, on the other hand, you are making several cups of tea, then fill the pot at least half. Turn on the burner on the stove and place the brewing pot on the burner.

    MIXING THE INGREDIENTS INTO THE BREWING POT

    Now, that the pot is on the stove, start mixing in the ingredients. Start with Earl Grey tea, then add the lemon or pour in the lemon juice. The lemon should be cut in slices for the desired affect. Do not squeeze the lemon juices from the lemon into the brewing pot. It is not necessary. Just slice it up and toss it in. Next, cut the pieces of ginger if you went to a natural or organic food store such as Whole Foods and throw them into the brewing pot. If you did not go to that store in particular, then go to the market and purchase ginger spice and add it to the brewing pot. Add only as much as you need. You don’t want to make the tea so spiked with ginger that you can’t drink it. Now, add the Seagram’s ginger ale. Pour in again only as much as you want. Now, for the real experimenters out there, try adding lemon or honey halls to the tea. This mixture also has traces of eucalyptus oil, so you are getting help for your stomach, head, nose, and chest, according to Herbal Extract Plus of herbalextractplus.com. This is a healing elixir remember! Now add sugar if you are into saccharin. Most of us can only afford to buy sugar.     PREPARING THE TEA AFTER ITS HAS BREWED

    Once the tea has brewed, your job is now to prepare to serve. Find a large pitcher to pour the tea into or simply pour it one cup at a time, especially if you plan on drinking more than one. If you plan on drinking it in larger quantities, then use twenty-four, twenty-eight, and thirty –two ounce cups, which is what I use when preparing tea. Pour the tea into the cup slowly. When pouring large amounts of tea, the over flow is usually heavy causing a lot of spillage. The slower you pour the safer you will be from getting burned by that hot tea. If you have added the sugar or honey, stir up the tea. If you want stronger tea, add more tea bags. If you want weaker tea, add fewer tea bags. You tea is ready and now all you have to do is drink it. Enjoy the tea and drink it around the time you feel ill or have a cold. It will definitely have its most desired affect then.

  • Don’t be afraid to be adventurous, add ingredients that no one would think of using.
  • Pour the tea slowly to avoid spillage and being burned.
  • Don’t use too much ginger.

  • Don’t buy ingredients that you cannot afford; be wise and cost effective
