Here are a few hints, from a barber, to maximize the hair that's there.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • glycerin soap
  • light spray or mousse
  • Fine-tooth comb (or a lice comb)
  1. Step 1

Shampoo with glycerin soap. It impregnates the hair with glycerin, which will thicken the hair you have and give your scalp more cover.
Glycerin is in a good many hair products and won’t do it any harm.

  2. Step 2

Work up a good later, and leave it for a couple of minutes before rinsing. This gives the glycerin more time to thicken your hair.

  3. Step 3

Use a light mousse or spray, versus gels or wax. Gels and wax will cause the hair to clump, and expose more scalp beneath.
Better still, try no product at all. If you can do without, your hair will look fuller.

  4. Step 4

Use a fine-tooth comb - even a lice comb. Here again, the idea is to separate the individual hairs and prevent clumping. Clumping will show flesh.

  5. Step 5

Go for a shorter hairstyle. It will have more lift and volume.

Tips & Warnings
  • Darker hair shows more flesh. if you're balding, and greying, keep the grey.
